If you're going to be a foodie and complain about how bad the shit at McDonald's taste you should be able to pass the acid test. You should be able to have professional quality in what you make and be able to back it up.
On the other hand everyone should know at least the basics of cooking, even if it's jazzing up a box of mac & cheese by throwing in some bacon, garlic, and chili powder. Get out there and try, don't worry about messing things up when you start When I started making bread I was messing up more loaves than good one.
Culinary Dark Arts While having a converted edible recipe collections available for sale this site has breads, desserts, and main courses for free on the web page. There are a few hot chocolate recipes that are awesome, making them yourself allows you to use diabetic sweeteners, you can make it with as much or as little sugar as you wish.Dollar Tree Dinners This lady is fucking brilliant. I love it because she focuses on meals for when you're on a budget. She's moved beyond just Dollar Store Stuff. What I really like about her is that she understands that times are tough and money's hard. You can always get the more expensive or a higher quality products when you have the extra cash to spend.
I knew I was missing someone I was a fan of when I was posting the first version of the food page. She's got the same kind of feel as Glen and Friends, it's like you're hanging out in the kitchen with a friends and they're show you how to make something.
Glen And Friends Cooking Glen And Friends Cooking gives you easy to follow video instructions about food, cooking, recipes, beer, and cocktails.
A cool Canadian show, Glen is laid back and it's like being over a friend's kitchen who explains what he's doing and how to make it. One of the things I like about his channel is that he tends to cook things that you already have around the house. So it's not like you have to look for Yak Hooves or a special kitchen gadget that turns left over cheese chunks into blueberry muffins.
Great Depression Cooking with Clara Clara died in 2013 but this is a channel she worked on with her grandson before she died at the age of 98. Growing up in the Great Depression she has a lot of good cheap recipes to try out. Her videos remind me of hanging out with my maternal grandma and my paternal grandfather.
Hazy Kitchen YT Hazy Kitchen Insta A really nice lady I've talked back and forth with a few times. She specialized in edibles (yeah THC infused food). I know cannabis is recreational legal or medical legal in a lot of US states, a lot of people might not be able to smoke it so this is a good way to get some pain relief without the boring gummies.
All you have to leave out the cannabis product out and you have some some killer snacks.
Emmy Made This guy for some reason reminds me of H.P. Lovecraft, the way he looks and dresses. He has a bunch of fast food reviews. He's amusing, a friend of mine and his son watch them.
Tasting History with Max Miller Max has some good food that he tries to make using the original recipes from history. He's had ancient Greek and Roman food up to some 1940s or 1950s food. He has a little history segment to go along with the food he's preparing.
Townsends James and "family" are American Colonial reenactors, they are mostly food oriented. They have some interesting culinary dishes primarily from the 18th Century. Some of the dishes are new to me others are what Colonial mac & cheese was like. I've gotten some cool idea for dishes from watching this channel.
You get a little bit of history, building an earthen oven, and some reenacting videos which are also pretty good if your nerd scenes tingle from such things.
