History

I'm a history nerd. Since the late 1980s I've been studying the Cold War with some sides in pre-Columbian Americans, the bronze age Near East, the Great Depression, Dust Bowl. and the 20 years, 9 months, 21 days that was the ceasefire in a single World War. In 2025 we are seeing the cycle of history repeat itself with fascist powers coming to threaten the freedom of other nations.

I was born about a month before Neil Armstrong made that giant leap for mankind I was old enough to be politically aware of Poland's Solidarność Movement, and when the Berlin Wall came down. I was just getting into computers and RPGs when the world almost ended because of Able Archer 83.

Townsends Reenactors who make American 18th Century food that was served around the days of the American Founding Fathers. The main guy will show tours of other places with 18th Century sites that also have reenactors but it's a cooking show as well. He does mention what to use as a substitute if it's something that isn't around any more.
The Townsends go on my history and food list.

Tasting History with Max Miller Cool guy that cooks an item from history and has a taste. He has a sweet back catalog of some stuff that is good and some that you know aren't going to be to today's flavor pallet.
Max gets put on the food list too.

Sean Munger A lot of long form videos on YouTube and classes on his web page. He has a good deal of nautical history and deep dives in the history of the Watergate complex. He does a good job debunking the Kennedy assignation conspiracy nutters.

The Cold War Another Canadian production focusing on the Cold War. From the American, Soviet, Chinese, and unaligned nations.
